Clear cell RCC PFS score:

Pathologic T stage: pT1a, pT1b, or pT2a = 0; pT2b = 2; pT3a to pT3c = 3; pT4 = 4.

Nodal stage: N0 or Nx = 0; N1 = 2.

Tumour size: less than 10 cm = 0; 10 cm or more = 1.

Nuclear grade: grade 1-2 = 0; grade 3 = 1; grade 4 = 3.

Tumour necrosis: absent = 0; present = 2.

Papillary RCC group:

Group 1: grade 1-2, no fat invasion, no tumour thrombus.

Group 2: grade 3, no fat invasion, no tumour thrombus.

Group 3: grade 4, fat invasion, or tumour thrombus.

Chromophobe RCC group:

Group 1: no sarcomatoid differentiation, no fat invasion, no nodal involvement.

Group 2: fat invasion without sarcomatoid differentiation or nodal involvement.

Group 3: sarcomatoid differentiation or nodal involvement.
